'It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society'.

- Krishnamurti, Philosopher and Teacher (Six)

This statement sums up beautifully the doubt and ambivalence of the Six. We are taught that we need to be a part of society, a part of the collective, as though society can only have a positive influence on us. Sixes are naturally wary and do not just accept what other people say because how do they know that other people can be trusted? This is where the Six's natural tendency to play the Devil's Advocate comes in. Sixes want to believe but find it difficult to trust which leaves them in a place that can be a bit of a conundrum. However, it is at this intersection that they often cut through to a truth. We probably appreciate the above statement by Krishnamurti more than ever today as we look around us and question the society that we are a part of.
