How do Threes experience their experience?

Threes are concerned with being the best and achieving. They come across as confident, goal-oriented and adaptable - meaning they are able to change direction or focus in order to get where they want to go. They are sometimes role models as they can embody the values of the family, community or their society, and can often be impressive in their accomplishments. The downside of all of this striving, however, is that underneath they do not feel confident unless they achieve and unless their value can be affirmed by others. This creates enormous pressure to be successful and, if not, to at least appear successful because failure, in their eyes, is not an option. This can lead to them investing more in image and appearances than in the person underneath. Threes, as a result, often appear 'well-packaged' and as though they have everything under control. But this, in turn, creates more pressure, because keeping up appearances can be exhausting and stressful and caring too much about how others see us does not, ultimately, increase our sense of self-worth. We become, instead, dependant on others seeing us a certain way. Threes generally need to get more in touch with their own heart's desires and be truthful to themselves. In that way they will find true self-worth and nobody will be able to take it away from them.
