Words of Wisdom from a Seven

This is a very interesting comment coming from a Seven because Sevens, more than any other Type, believe in life as a sort of pleasure principle. There can never be too much of a good thing as far as Sevens are concerned. They fear being deprived in any way and so work very hard to not be deprived of anything and to enjoy themselves as much as possible. The paradox, however, is that always getting what we want when we want it does not make us happy in the long term. (In fact instead of making us feel content and fortunate it actually tends to make us want more - and wanting more is the exact opposite of happiness). Understanding this, is, to a certain extent, the journey of the Seven and we see this in the Dalai Lama's words above. It is hard for any of us to appreciate not getting what we want but for a Seven to view it, sometimes, as wonderfully fortunate, is a piece of psychic yoga!
