Who do you think you are?

The Enneagram doesn't tell you who you are. It tells you who you think you are - which is an important part of who you are but not the whole picture. So who do you think you are? One would think it was easy to know who we think we are. Not so, as it turns out. We often don't know who we think we are and that is the issue. That is why we need tools such as the Enneagram to help us, because who we think we are affects our attitude not only to ourselves but to others and also to our world view. Which we know, in some sense. If we are confident we have a very different approach to life than if we aren't. If we value ourselves our outlook on life is very different from those who don't. And it is worth paying attention to, and understanding, who we think we are for another reason. We pick up, and form, our ideas of self when we are very young, but is that idea even accurate?
