The Three is the personality Type that has been most valued in Western capitalist countries - particularly the United States - and the journey of the Three itself is about value. Threes naturally key into what is valuable in their society or milieu and they will do what it takes to personify those values so becoming, themselves, valued and admired. In Western countries we value achievement, efficiency and self-assurance which are all attributes of the healthy Three. In addition Threes are very adaptable and in consumerist cultures, where marketing and image are very important, Threes can thrive because this plays into their ability to package themselves in whichever way is deemed necessary - often attractively - to get the desired results. When they are less healthy this can tip over into becoming expedient and exploitative in pursuit of their goals and they can become narcissistic, deceitful and vindictive. The Three at their best, however, is exemplary and is often a role model because they are everything they seem to be - excelling, poised and admirable in their achievements. Threes truly invest in themselves to be the best they can be. We can be inspired and learn from them, especially now when the world is in such difficulty. And we each need to look to the Three part in us to invest in what we have to offer and to be the best that we can be. The world needs that from us right now.
