The Fear and Behaviour of the Six

The primary fear of the Six is of having no support or guidance, of being unable to survive on their own. They feel they have no solid ground beneath them which can make them the most anxiously fearful of all the Types. As a result they seek security. They find this in structures, rules and frameworks and are often drawn to organisations or professions that have this at their core ie; the military, engineering or the law. They also seek out security by forming allegiances and are the most loyal, of all the Types, to the allegiances they form. Their concerns with security and safety mean that they are good troubleshooters and are alert to anything that does not seem founded on something solid whether that be principles, ideas, data ... whatever. However, when they are less healthy and present to themselves, their anxiety and general fearfulness gets the better of them and they act impulsively and erratically in an attempt to quell it, becoming suspicious of the very people, rules, frameworks and structures they have relied upon for their sense of security and reacting against them. At this point they scape-goat and blame others, working actively to undermine them. This naturally makes others feel unsupported and insecure, as if there is no solid ground beneath them, and so anxious and fearful.
