Gestalt's paradoxical theory of change is that we change by becoming more fully who we are and not by trying to change. If we want to change, therefore, we need to look at ourselves instead of looking at others and trying to be something or someone we are not. But how much time do we spend on getting to know ourselves? We are born into this world without any sense of self and you could say that our principle adventure in life is finding out who we are. And what an incredible adventure that is because we have to learn it. No-one else can tell us who we are because they don't know who we are either. We are all unique, my journey is not your journey and every experience on this earth is experienced differently by each of us. It is that experience and our talents discovered or learned along the way that are the gifts we have to give. They are what enable us to teach or help others on their journey. They are the baton we pass on in the human story. So what are you discovering about yourself? What is your experience teaching you?
