That place called home

Ram Dass said 'We're all just walking each other home' and this is beautiful because it says to me not only that we need each other but, specifically, that we need each other to help us get home. Of course home could be death but it could also be that place where we belong. Which is different for each of us. So what I like about this is that it says we need others to help us find that very personal place where we belong. That we need, in a sense, to be guided there. That we can't do it alone. That other people are the sounding board, the echo chamber, the guides who help steer us to that place which, when we find it, only we will recognise. That they are instrumental in guiding us to that place of recognition deep within us where we find peace. That place called home.
