For Eights to watch for

Eights are indomitable and can achieve great things when they channel their confidence, assertiveness and ability to swing into action into getting things done. For this reason they can often be leaders of some sort. However they habitually over-assert themselves in any given situation - for example by being loud, brash and domineering. This can tip over further into throwing their weight around, challenging others and becoming authoritarian which can be very intimidating to others. Their mode of communication at this point is to command people to do things ie: 'Do this now' or 'You go there' which rubs people up the wrong way as they feel they are being treated as an object, not a person. Eights need to understand that their heavy-handed approach alienates people, creating adversarial relationships and resistance in others and so ruins their chances of being effective and leading the way - that instead of gaining the power they want, they end up losing any power they had.
