One of the gifts of the Five is their clarity and originality of thought. Fives want to know the why and how of things. As a result they ask lots of questions, constantly looking for answers to what they don't know. Sometimes they can find themselves looking for answers to what no-one yet knows - such is their thirst for knowledge and understanding. As a result they can find new ways of looking at things, of seeing or understanding that are truly revolutionary. This curious and investigative nature calls upon not only imagination and powers of deduction or logic but also insight and prediction as well as a certain playfulness and ability to think outside the box. However, this pushing the boundaries of what is known, this inquisitiveness and imagination is also one of their great challenges because it can take them into some dark places. They can over-think things, the power of their thoughts and insights and imagination leading them to extrapolate about consequences, events or futures that can become more and more elaborate and abstract and so far from the here and now that they can entirely lose touch with reality. Many of us are aware that too much time spent thinking isn't good for us because we start to become troubled and Fives can become terrified of their own thoughts which can be intense and have no limits. They often develop an interest or expertise in which to channel their overactive minds and it is beneficial for them to do physical exercise which helps them to stay grounded.
