The Competency Group

The One, Three and Five are the Types in the Competency Group. All Three Types respond to disappointment and not getting their own way by looking at what needs to be done and doing their best to ameliorate or resolve the issue. They take a fairly unemotional and active approach to the problem asking what needs to be done to get the desired result. As I mentioned in my two previous posts we give out what we most need to receive so their principle concern is to resolve the issue. As a result they can find the reactions of the other Types frustratingly ineffectual. After all, looking on the bright side or venting one's anger or frustration does not solve the problem. However it is precisely this Group's lack of emotionality that the other Types can find difficult to deal with. The Types in the Positive Outlook Group can feel that their morale is not being sufficiently boosted and those in the Reactive Group can take the lack of emotion as evidence that their own hurt and disappointment is not sufficiently recognised.
