The Eight with a Nine wing has been called 'The Bear'. The Eight and the Nine are very different in many ways and so in some degree of opposition to each other. Eights enjoy a challenge and approach conflict head-on whereas Nines avoid conflict because they like their peace and do not want to be disturbed or upset at all. As a result, in this personality Type we see someone who is strong but gentle. This subtype exudes a quiet strength and tends to be more oriented towards people than the other subtype which is more interested in experience. Healthy people of this subtype have power and wisdom but are less assertive about it than the Eight with the Seven wing. They are steady - it is not easy to ruffle their feathers - and they tend to show their strength and leadership through protectiveness and support rather than the brasher approach of the other subtype. They get things done in their own way and are able to develop a deep, almost mystical connection with others.
