About Eights

Eights are people of action. They make things happen because they have the confidence to take charge, are decisive and resourceful and have a lot of energy. As a result they are often leaders - whether of organisations or countries. Eights have an indomitability about them, they love a challenge and are the Type that really can move mountains if required (well OK, maybe not mountains but you get the idea). However, when they are less healthy their directness and assertiveness can tip over into intimidation, aggression, authoritarianism and a defiance of the law that leads them to becoming tyrannical. At their best however, Eights use their power constructively by making a difference for the better with their 'can do' attitude and their ability to motivate others. They earn respect by being honourable and standing up for and protecting those who are vulnerable, downtrodden or in some way disadvantaged. I hope there are some healthy Eights out there managing the food chain and other important lifelines for this extraordinary situation we all find ourselves in which is very difficult for so many people. They will swing into action carrying all before them (and behind them) to get whatever it is done. And we need to look to the Eight part in each of us for that positive attitude, confidence and resourcefulness which will help to see us through. Eights believe they can do it - whatever it is. We all need some of that self-belief now.
