Words of Wisdom from a Nine

'The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are'.

One of the qualities of Nines is that they are accepting of people as they are, holding space for others to be themselves. As a result people tend to feel comfortable around them. They are also reassuring - concerned as they are with whole-ism and bringing things together. These aspects are reflected in the above statement by Joseph Campbell who was a Nine. I love it because it speaks to the individuality of everyone whilst at the same time unifying the human experience. Carl Jung, also a Nine, adapted Campbell's idea slightly (or maybe Joseph Campbell adapted it from him?) when he said 'The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you are' which maintains the idea of it being an honour to be you but reflects that it is a process.
