The Social Role of the One is that of The Educator. From the average levels downwards ones identify as, and relate towards others from this position which means that they feel compelled to teach or instruct others as to what to do and how they should be doing it. They feel it is their place to uphold standards, educate others and to be responsible. Although this makes them excellent quality controllers and ethical advisors, it can come across as critical and judgemental as they can be impatient and, without meaning to, make other people feel that they are 'not doing things properly'. Ironically Ones often have good advice and wisdom to impart and they can be relied upon to be upstanding and principled but their telling other people how to do things often comes across as patronising and/or corrective and so other people tend to resist whatever good they are trying to do. This only makes the One even more frustrated and feeds their tendency to see others as careless and irresponsible. Ones have to learn that their message may be a good one but becoming irritated and treating others as though they are children is not the best way to get it across.
